Zhiiva was born from a deep love and gratitude for the nature of Siberia.
Siberia is a place of extraordinary beauty and strength. Its vast forests, plants and wild landscapes have given people so much for generations, from food and medicine to the natural ingredients and traditions that continue to inspire us today.
Many of the ingredients at the heart of Zhiiva come from this land. Siberian cedar, cedar oil and cedar resin have been part of traditional Siberian beauty and wellness practices for generations, and we are deeply grateful for these gifts.
That gratitude shapes the way we source our ingredients. We believe that taking something from nature should never mean harming the nature that gives it to us. We collect cedar resin without harming the trees, and gather cedar cones that have naturally fallen to the ground rather than taking them from the trees.
But we wanted to do more than simply avoid harm.
We didn't want our relationship with nature to be only about taking less. We wanted to give something back.
That is how our Tree Initiative became our mission.
